About AFS

Atlanta Finland Society, Inc. is a non-profit, educational and cultural organization.

The purpose of the organization is to help its members--adults and children--of Finnish heritage, as well as others interested in Finland, to learn, maintain, and enjoy the Finnish language, traditions, customs, history and cultural heritage. 

The organization is located in the Atlanta, Georgia.  Our official languages are Finnish and English.

In addition to traditional festivities such as Vappu (Finnish Labor Day) and Juhannus (Midsummer), Atlanta Finland Society (AFS) will strive to promote other activities of interest such as culture (theater, concerts etc.) as well as sports.

One of the great benefits Atlanta Finland Society (AFS) brings to Finnish families is the Atlanta Suomikoulu (Finnish School).  The school provides Finnish education to children and adults.

FINNEWS is a newsletter that is published by AFS few times a year. In addition to frequent email updates, the newsletter is an excellent means to channel information to our members.
